Two schools remain undefeated at Spiketacular volleyball tourny

Dimond and South were both undefeated after the first day of pool play in the West Spiketacular, a 21-team volleyball tournament at West High.Dimond went 6-0 and South 4-0 to lead their respective pools. Service leads another pool with a 3-1 record, while Grace Christian and Palmer share the lead in a fourth pool at 5-1.

Pool play continues Saturday with matches at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. Then teams move into bracket play, with the top team from each pool advancing to the Gold bracket, the No. 2 teams to the Silver bracket, the No. 3 teams to the Bronze bracket and the rest of the teams to the Nickel bracket.

Championship matches are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m., with the Gold, Silver and Bronze games at West High and the Nickel title match at Romig Middle School.
