PORT ALSWORTH -- The pilot of a Piper Supercub and one passenger suffered only minor injuries when the plane crashed during takeoff from a mountaintop in the Port Alsworth area, Alaska State Troopers reported Saturday.
Anthony Alsworth, 35, of Anchorage, was flying the plane. Troopers did not identify the passenger, who they said was a juvenile.
The two were evacuated from the crash scene by helicopter Friday.
