Chugiak 31, Bartlett 6 in flag football

Powered by three touchdowns from quarterback Ashleigh Sitz on Saturday, Chugiak rolled to a 31-6 Cook Inlet Conference flag football win over Bartlett at Anchorage Football Stadium. The Mustangs started quickly, scoring on an 86-yard opening drive when Sitz found Carly Metcalf with a three-yard pass. Sitz connected with Nikki Kennedy on the Mustangs second touchdown and Kennedy caught her second two-point conversion to put Chugiak up 16-0.

Chugiak's Holly Brehmer broke free for a 65-yard scoring run in the second quarter and Bartlett answered with its only score just before halftime to trail 24-6 at the break.

Sitz added the game's final score on a 10-yard run in the third quarter as Chugiak improved to 6-4 with four games remaining.

Eagle River 25, East 0

Lauren Frost threw for a touchdown and ran for another Saturday at Dimond High, leading Eagle River to a 25-0 CIC flag football win over East.

The Wolves opened scoring on a 5-yard touchdown run from Frost, then tacked on a 10-yard touchdown run from Alyssa Randall, a 10-yard touchdown pass from Frost to Scout Warners and a 70-yard touchdown run from Gaby Mordini.
