SITKA -- There was an unintended error during a renovation project at one of Sitka's most heavily used athletic facilities.
The Sitka Sentinel reports work recently completed at the Blatchley Middle School swimming pool included removing a row of lockers in the lobby.
However, the lockers previously blocked anyone from seeing into the locker rooms from the lobby. Once the lockers were gone, there was a direct view into the changing areas.
School district officials quickly installed privacy walls just inside the entrance to block the line of sight.
