DelValle leads East in gymnastics

East's Anna DelValle won all-around honors Thursday in a Cook Inlet Conference gymnastics meet at Chugiak High, leading the Thunderbirds to a convincing victory over Eagle River. DelValle finished first in vault, bars and floor exercise and added a third-place finish in balance beam, which was won by East's Monica Mikes.

Eagle River had just two gymnasts, Celeste Gibson and Kallan Johnson, who finished second and third respectively in the floor exercise.
