Moving a Home Back From the Eroding Bank of the Kwethluk River

Workers with the Kwethluk Tribal Resident Council move a house back from the Kwethluk River in the village of Kwethluk on Friday, September 21, 20112. The river bank is eroding and threatening the house. This house is the 3rd of 4 houses being moved away from the eroding river bank. Kwethluk is a Yupik village on the Kwethluk River just upstream from the Kuskokwim River in western Alaska.
