Eagle River stopped Bartlett at the one-yard line as time expired Saturday to preserve a 7-6 Cook Inlet Conference flag football victory on Senior Night at Eagle River.
Lauren Frost raced 85 yards for a first-quarter touchdown and then tacked on a PAT pass to Gaby Mordini for a 7-0 Eagle River lead.
Bartlett answered with a third-quarter touchdown, but the Golden Bears failed to convert on the point-after.
Bartlett drove to the one-yard line at the end of the game but was stopped by Scout Warner's pulled. Earlier, Eagle River got another key defensive play when Skylar Metbel came up with a red-zone interception.
Dimond 25, South 8
Tara Thompson rushed for one touchdown and threw for another Saturday afternoon to lead undefeated Dimond to a 25-8 victory over South in a Cook Inlet Conference flag football game at Anchorage Football Stadium.
Thompson rushed eight times for 34 yards and completed 6 of 12 passes for 102 yards. She hit Rachel Brady, who caught two passes for 47 yards, for a 5-yard touchdown. Vanessa Tufaga rushed six times for 48 yards and scored once. and Haley Martin rushed nine times for 70 yards.
Brittany Bagsby returned an interception for a 65-yard touchdown for the Lynx, who improved to 13-0. Martin furnished seven pulls and Whitney Jackson had five.
