KODIAK -- Five people have been indicted on wire fraud charges for allegedly taking part in a scheme to embezzle nearly $500,000 from the Trident Seafoods plant in Kodiak.

KMXT reports the missing funds were discovered shortly after 32-year-old Isairis Wolfe was fired as the plant's bookkeeper two years ago.

Federal authorities allege she wrote 52 checks over a 2-1/2 year period to four people and one of their underage sons.

Also indicted are Anne Wilson, who is also known as Anne Sorio of Kent, Wash.; Jeremy Smith of Kodiak; Valerie Olivares of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Jamie Fathke of Kodiak.

Wolfe, who was arrested Friday, is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, as is Smith. Arraignments haven't been set for Wilson and Olivares, and Fathke hasn't been arrested.
