AHFC is reopening its voucher program

Published: October 3, 2012

The Alaska Housing Finance Corporation has reopened its Housing Choice Voucher program waiting list to the public for the month of October.

Participants in the program pay 30 percent of their adjusted income in rent while AHFC pays the remainder directly to the landlord. Participants are responsible for finding their own housing.

Applications are available online or in AHFC offices in Anchorage during business hours.

No applications are accepted in person and preference is not given to those received earlier in the month.

The waiting list will take 2,500 names using a computerized process.

Applicants will be notified by mid-November of their place on the waiting list.

For more information on the program visit www.ahfc.us.
