A plane load of 400 paratroopers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, were welcomed home by family and friends as they returned to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, after completing nearly a year-long deployment in the eastern provinces of Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
