Wine of the week: 2010 Chateau Bonnet Blanc

Published: October 4, 2012

Chateau Bonnet Blanc has been one of my go-to wines for years. It was always crisp, clean, lifting and generally pleasant stuff. Having recently tasted the 2010, I was more than pleased to confirm my commitment to winemaker Andre Lurton's sauvignon blanc, semillion and muscadelle blend. You will find generous quantities of grapefruit, mineral and focused acid. It finishes with balanced and fleshy sweetness, keeping the palate clean and happy. Costs about $12.
