Thank you Daily News for the wonderful story regarding the Hiland Mountain "Running Free Alaska" inmate running program (Oct. 7). Also thanks to Skinny Raven for their continued unwavering support for local running programs.

As a longtime subscriber weary of political and war stories, this article was uplifting and refreshing. If there is an avenue by which one could contribute financial aid for athletic gear or volunteer to assist with the program, please do let us know. Count me in.
