Mitt and Ann Romneys statements equating Mitts and their sons missions to military service is outrageous and deeply offensive. I was a Navy Hospital Corpsman during the Vietnam War and it was my job as a ward corpsman at the Naval Hospital at Great Lakes to care for the wounded. I witnessed daily the personal devastation and amazing courage of men whose bodies had been torn and shattered.
While these men suffered and sometimes died before me, Mitt Romney was living as a guest of a wealthy man, in a chateau in France, spending his days knocking on doors and handing out pamphlets.
For Romney (and his wife) to try to make some equivalence between his traipsing around France and the sacrifices made by real soldiers fighting a real war, tells me not someone who is qualified to be Commander in Chief.
