The Anchorage International Film Festival has announced its official selections to screen as part of this year’s festivities. The AIFF website says about 20 percent of those will be included in competition, with the jury award films in the categories of feature narratives, documentaries, short films, super shorts, animation, family, youth media and Snowdance, the category featuring movies made in Alaska.

Selections include features like "Servitude," "Grassroots" and "El Estudiante," plus documentaries that include "The Mountain Runners" and "Dislecksia: The Movie." Currently, the website only lists the titles, directors, run times and countries of origin for each film, which come from the United States, Argentina, Iran, Poland, Myanmar and beyond. The site says the festival schedule and film details will be included later.

The festival takes place Nov. 30 through Dec. 9 in theaters throughout the city.
