"Running" and congressional debate to be broadcast Monday night

KAKM's "Running" program kicks off Monday night on both television and radio. Tune in to KAKM Channel 7 or radio station KSKA FM 91.1. Audio of all debates will be posted at alaskapublic.org after the programs end.

"Debate for the State" featuring candidates for U.S. House of Representatives, airs from 7-8 p.m. Rep. Don Young, a Republican, and his Democratic challenger, state Rep. Sharon Cissna, join host Michael Carey, Lori Townsend of APRN and Tim Bradner from the Alaska Journal of Commerce. (Libertarian candidate Jim McDermmot was invited, but chose not to participate).

After "Debate for the State," Michael Carey and Daysha Eaton host candidates running for Alaska legislature on Nov. 6.

- 8 p.m. - House 6 in Mat-Su: George Rauscher (R) Jamey Duhamel (D)

- 8:30 p.m. - House 7, House 8, Willow, Houston, Palmer: House 7, Wes Keller (R); House 8, Shelley Hughes (R); (Senate D: Mike Dunleavy [R], chose not to participate)

- 8:45 p.m. Senate E, House 9, House 10 in Wasilla, Big Lake, Point McKenzie: Senate E, Charles Huggins (R), Susan Herman (D); House 9, Lynn Gattis (R), Blake Merrifield (D); House 10, Mark Neuman (R), Pam Rahn (D).
