Aces winger Dubinsky is ECHL Player of the Week

Posted on October 31, 2012

Not exactly shocking news today after Alaska Aces winger Brandon Dubinsky lorded over the San Francisco Bulls in a three-game sweep last weekend -- he's the ECHL's Player of the Week.

Dubinsky, the NHLer from Anchorage playing for his hometown team during the NHL lockout, He scored seven points (5-2--7) against the Bulls last weekend, bagging a power-play strike in a 4-1 win Friday, a hat trick and assist in a 5-2 win Saturday and one goal and one helper in a 3-2 win Sunday.

Dubinsky leads the Aces in scoring, his six goals tie for the league lead and his 37 shots on goal tie for second in the league. He does pretty much everything -- regular shift, power play, penalty kill, shifts late in the game. And as the rest of the Western Conference is quickly finding out, good luck trying to get him off the puck when he has it.
