Miknich, Manu power Service-East to CIC girls hockey win

Kaitlan Miknich and Felila Manu each delivered six-point games Thursday to spearhead Dimond-East to a 10-3 victory over Dimond-West in a Cook Inlet Conference girls hockey game at Ben Boeke Arena.

Miknich furnished a hat trick and three assists, and Manu added two goals and four helpers.

Service-East also received two goals and two assists from Madisan Millar, and a goal and two assists from Heather Merkouris.

Allye Brodie led Dimond-West with one goal and one assist.

BOYS

Dimond 12, West 1

Four Dimond players each scored two goals Thursday night to propel the Lynx to a 12-1 win over West in Cook Inlet Conference boys hockey at Ben Boeke Arena.

Ben Heafer, Lane Bauer, Tyler Garcia and Kenny Hausinger each potted a pair. The Lynx also received goals from Walker Hamilton, Drake Glover, Kiel Kenning and Tyler Andrews.

Dimond outshot West, 36-8. Kiernan Kuiper scored for the Eagles.
