Fairbanks man gets 2 years in drug-ring conviction

Published: November 3, 2012

— A Fairbanks man was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to participating in a drug conspiracy that ran a recording business as its front.

Tyrone Kimble is one of four people to be sentenced in the drug ring that ran cocaine, crack and painkillers behind a business they called Oil Money Entertainment.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports prosecutors say Kimble twice sold cocaine to police informants.

The group tried to hide their drug activity by claiming they were artists, employees, or promoters of Fairbanks recording labels.

Three others already have been sentenced.

Martin Linenko was sentenced to seven years in prison, Adrian Steele was sentenced to nearly five years in prison and Tremain Wilson was sentenced to more than 6 years in prison.
