Service upends East 6-4 in a feisty boys hockey game at Ben Boeke Arena

Service used a pair of third-period goals Thursday night to cement a 6-4 victory over East in a penalty-filled Cook Inlet Conference boys hockey game at Ben Boeke Arena.

The teams combined for 26 penalties and 77 penalty minutes.

Andrew Cummings and Matthew Stone bagged the third-period goals for the Cougars. Service received a goal and two assists from Leo Karcz, one goal and one assist from Braden Mitchell, and goals from Karson Frisk and Tyler Miknich.

Dustin Fritz made 17 saves for Service.

East scored all its goals on the power play. Those strikes came from Steven Butts, Tristan Phillips, Brian Cresap and Zach Johnson.
