The school choir sings "You Are Our Heroes" at a ceremony in honor of Veterans Day Monday, November 12, 2012 at Birchwood ABC Elementary School. The ceremony also included presentation of colors by Chugiak Navy JROTC and Eagle River Air Force JROTC cadets, performances by the Alaska Brass of the Air Force Band of the Pacific - Alaska, and remarks by Principal and Army veteran Tim Godfrey and by Lt. Col. Patricia Csank, commander of the 773d Logistics Readiness Squadron, a school business partner from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Veterans in the audience were also recognized.
