Wolves' Budinger to miss at least 3 months after surgery

Published: November 13, 2012

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Chase Budinger will be sidelined 3-to-4 months after undergoing surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee.

Dr. James Andrews performed the surgery on Tuesday in Florida.

Budinger injured the knee at the six-minute mark of the fourth quarter in Saturday's loss at Chicago. He averaged 11.8 points and 3.5 rebounds through six games this season, his first with Minnesota following a June trade with Houston.
