2 Anchorage skaters commit to Division I women's teams (Wright, Haus)

Posted on November 28, 2012

Alaskans have been attending and playing hockey at the North American Hockey Academy in Stowe, Vt., for years now on the path to college hockey, and two more have made commitments to Division I women's teams.

NAHA director of hockey Bill Driscoll dropped The Blog at email to let him know that Anchorage's Bailey Wright has committed to Minnesota-Duluth and Anchorage's Kayla Haus has committed to Colgate University. Both skaters are seniors at NAHA.

Wright, a forward, has produced 25-23--48 totals in 33 games this season, including a hat trick and five two-goal games.

Haus, listed as both a defenseman and forward, owns 5-12--17 totals in 34 games.

Also playing at NAHA are senior goaltender Ashley Wilkes of Fairbanks; sophomore defenseman Kali Rutka of Anchorage; and sophomore forward Madison Morey of Fairbanks.
