Anchorage — Granache blanc is a winemaker's little secret. The grape is used to lift a white out of the doldrums, providing brightness and clarity. It's also quite the charmer by itself: Clean, refreshing citrus and plenty of high-toned fruit race onto the palate from an invigorating set of aromatics. Check out the 2011 La Miranda Granacha Blanca and you will see what I mean. Light-bodied, it's perfect with seafood combos, white fish and light pastas. Cheers! Costs about $14.
