Bob Costas quoted a sportswriter during half-time Sunday evening on NBC’s NFL game. He stated Kansas City player Jovan Belcher would not have killed his girlfriend if he did not possess a hand gun. This is the most asinine statement I’ve ever heard in my life.

If he didn’t have a gun he would have killed her with anything he could get his hands on. He’s a professional athlete. He could have killed her with his bare hands. Tragic yes, but don’t blame the gun. It was no accident. Bob Costas is very ignorant to voice an opinion like that on national TV.
