Posted on December 8, 2012

The Alaska Aces' 8-4 win over the Utah Grizzlies at Sullivan Arena tonight marked the one-third mark of their ECHL regular season -- 24 games down, 48 to go.

At 18-6-0 for 36 points, the Aces lead the 23-team circuit, and that record is their third-best at the 24-game mark in their 10 ECHL seasons, surpassed only by the 2005-06 Kelly Cup-winning team that went 18-3-3 for 39 points and last season's team, which went 18-4-2 for 38 points.

The Aces have never been below .500 at this point in the season.
