Seasonal sing-along
Anchorage Lutheran Church, 1420 N St., will host its annual Community Carol Sing at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15. You know the tunes and the words, but "cheat sheets" will be available just to make sure they're the right words. Guest performers will include the Arctic Wind Flute Choir and the Anchorage Lutheran Hand Bell Choir. After the sing, enjoy free Christmas cookies. In fact the whole thing is free, though donations will be accepted.
Tune in a tradition
A live on-stage radio version of the classic film "It's a Wonderful Life" is becoming a holiday tradition at Cyrano's, 413 D St. In a review of last year's production, featuring mainly the same cast playing multiple characters, the Daily News critic said, "Those who love the film will no doubt adore this live version." Back by popular demand, the production takes place at 7 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 23. Tickets are available at centertix.net.
