Former Aces Ambroz, Orlando find work

Published: December 18, 2012

Just a quick note to let you know former Alaska Aces winger Matt Ambroz and former Aces defenseman Todd Orlando -- OK, he never played a game, but he was on the roster at season's start while he recovered from a training-camp injury -- have found employment in the Central Hockey League.

Ambroz signed with the Fort Worth Brahmas and debuted in Sunday's 4-3 shootout loss to Wichita. He was -1 with no shots.

The CHL today announced Orlando signed with the Denver Cutthroats. The 6-foot-8, 231-pound Orlando debuted tonight in a 3-0 win, fighting Rapid City's Justin Sawyer (6-6, 240).

In other former Aces news, Utah defenseman Nick Tuzzolino was promoted to AHL Abbotsford, where erstwhile Aces winger Tyler Ruegsegger is employed.
