In response to “Repeal the Second Amendment” (Letters, Dec. 20):

While agreeing with the writer, shouldn’t we should also consider repealing the First Amendment? Not only could we curb the dissemination of pornography, violent videos and violent games, we could also then shut down subversives like Fox News and anyone else who happens to disagree with our chosen leader. Why do we need this dissent?

In fact, since we are now under the governance of such a wise and compassionate man, why do we even need a constitution, particularly one that doesn’t provide for the redistribution of wealth? Obsolete as a chamber pot.
