Freud's Last Session
Dick Reichman and Kevin T. Bennett take the plumy roles of Sigmund Freud and C.S. Lewis in a theatrical conversation at Cyrano's, 413 D St. The father of psychology and the author of the Narnia chronicles and "The Screwtape Letters" meet in London to discuss God, love, sex and the meaning of life in a witty and profound meeting of great minds. Krista Schwarting directs. "Freud's Last Session" will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays, Jan. 4-27, with a likely pay-what-you can preview on Jan. 3. Body Worlds Vital
The show of dissected people, "Body Worlds Vital," will wrap up at the Anchorage Museum on Jan. 6. But the deadline for the museum's "Body Worlds Vital Mile Mania" giveaway sweepstakes is Dec. 31. Four prizes of 25,000 Alaska Airlines miles will be given away. Stop by the main desk at the museum, 625 C St. or check the website, anchoragemuseum.org, for details. No purchase is necessary for the contest, but there is a fee for seeing the fascinating and educational exhibit that may be what it takes to convince you to stop smoking, eat healthier and get a little more exercise.
Member artists show
The International Gallery of Contemporary Art, 427 D St., will host its annual Member Artist Exhibition with a reception from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Jan. 4. In addition to the group show, Christy Haughey will have an exhibit of painting and sculptures that touch on biological images and themes in the back Guest Room gallery titled "Starting Again." The shows will remain on display through Jan. 26.
