Heat's Wade suspended one game for groin kick

Published: December 27, 2012

Dwyane Wade's seemingly intentional kick to Ramon Sessions' groin will cost the Heat guard a game check.

The NBA has suspended Wade for Friday's contest against the Pistons as a result of Wednesday's incident, which saw Wade raise his left leg into Sessions' groin, sending him to the hardwood, after the Bobcats guard fouled him near midcourt.

The Heat were leading by four in the fourth quarter at the time, and Sessions was the only player charged with a foul. Wade went on to score eight of his 29 points in the final eight-plus minutes, and the Heat won the game, 105-92.
