Penn State freshman winger Casey Bailey of Anchorage delivered a nice performance today in the third-place game at the Three Rivers Classic in Pittsburgh.
Bailey, a 6-3, 195-pound winger, scored two goals and furnished two primary assists in a 5-4 victory over Ohio State.
That gives Bailey 8-7--15 totals in 17 games, tying him for the team lead in goals and placing him second in points. Penn State, which next season helps open the Big Ten hockey league, this season is playing a mix of D-I and D-III opponents.
Bailey's not the only Alaska connection at Penn State. The team is coached by former UAF bench boss Guy Gadowsky and former UAA forward Justin Kerchhevel (one goal in nine games) is a sophomore for the Nittany Lions.
