Letter: Another movement merits FBI attention

Published: December 31, 2012

I have a question regarding your article (Dec. 25) titled “FBI kept an eye on the Occupy movement.”

Apparently, the FBI was concerned that the Occupy movement would provide “an outlet for a lone offender exploiting the movement for reasons associated with general government dissatisfaction.” The “tea party” movement held many rallies where protesters, many of whom were armed (some with assault rifles), carried placards with offensive, divisive and revolutionary themes … some even advocating sedition or violence to our country and president.

So my question is this: Did the FBI “keep an eye” on the tea party revolutionaries?
