The article written about the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) did not fully disclose this organization for what it really is. Members of ALEC are lobbyists who represent powerful corporations promoting their corporate interests under the guise of a “public-private partnership.” They have usurped the law that requires lobbyists to identify themselves and the corporations they represent.

Corporations write legislation that benefits corporations. Legislators who are members of ALEC are not public servants but puppets who do not represent the people they have been elected to serve.

ALEC is just another example of how money buys influence at the state level.
