Letter: Does federal training provide more rights?

Published: January 2, 2013

In response to the letter from Jim Robinson (Dec. 28), Mr. Robinson accuses the NRA of being configured in such a way as to encourage killing or killers. He goes on to state, “As an aside I have been trained by several federal agencies to carry a weapon for work.”

I wonder, was Mr. Robinson trained to kill? And does he feel that being trained by “federal agencies” somehow qualifies him to judge the NRA and other law-abiding gun owners?

I’m guessing he keeps a gun at home. Why try to deprive me of the God-given right to self-defense?

I guess if you’ve been trained by a “federal agency” you have just a few more rights than the rest of us.
