Alaska Aces third-year defenseman Kane Lafranchise, who leads the club's blueliners in scoring, has received his first promotion to the AHL -- the ECHL leaders have loaned him to the Oklahoma City Barons, the affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers.

Lafranchise, 24, is an Edmonton native.

Lafranchise owns 4-17--21 totals in 30 games this season and has a +10 rating. He is tied for sixth in the ECHL in points by a defenseman.
