Local Entrepreneur Opens Unique Design Studio

ANCHORAGE, January 7, 2013 -- Amie Marie Design Studio opened its doors on January 4th, 2013. The design studio created by local resident Amie Stanley is the first of its kind to offer both a wide range of graphic design services and event planning, including weddings.

“Every event requires great design and even better advertising.“ said founder Stanley. “We felt there was a need for not only more event specialists and graphic designers to support Anchorage’s growing population, but also for a place that can strategically manage both aspects of design.”

Amie Marie Design Studio was created inspired by Stanley’s own experience planning events in the community. Working with local community organizations while finishing her degree program at UAA, she found that people often tired from the time and energy it took to plan events having little or no experience themselves in the business of logistics or art.

The time lost researching vendors and juggling multiple contacts for one occasion was invaluable to small companies who lacked full-time staff for events and design and those who are volunteer-driven. It was then that she started offering her consulting services and developed a reputation for strong attention-to-detail and flawless design. Now, with three years of graphic design, wedding, and event planning underfoot, the much-anticipated design studio has finally taken form and is rapidly expanding.

“We strive to encompass what it truly means to be full-service,” Stanley continued, “Whether you need programs and invitations for a wedding, or an advertising campaign for your annual fundraiser, having the same studio produce both brings a delicate balance of continuity and creativity to the occasion.”

Amie Marie Design Studio is headquartered in Anchorage, AK, and serves the areas of Girdwood, Anchorage, Eagle River and the Mat-Su Valley.
