UAA alpine skiers found some success in the slalom Wednesday, advancing into fourth place overall after the second day of the Spencer James Nelson Memorial University of Colorado Invitational in Eldora, Colo.

Senior Kayla Hoog-Fry led the Seawolves with a sixth-place finish in the slalom, posting a two-run time of 2 minutes, .82 seconds, and helping the women's team finish second on the day. Sophomore Anna Berecz (2:04.63) and senior Ida Bjerka (2:10.50) finished 11th and 17th, respectively.

Junior Cameron Brewington and freshman James Schindler each scored points for the UAA men, who were unable to field a complete three-person team. Brewington was 12th at 1:49.75, and Schindler finished 15th at 1:52.00.

UAA accumulated 311 points through two days of competition. Denver leads the field with 423.5 points.
