Thank you, Elise Patkotak ( “Volunteers,” Jan. 9), both for your volunteer efforts on behalf of injured birds and for bringing Bird TLC’s precarious position to light. I have enjoyed meeting several of the birds up close, and it is an amazing way to learn about them from a team of enthusiastic, knowledgeable volunteers.
