The Milwaukee Brewers and outfielder Carlos Gomez agreed to terms on a one-year deal Thursday, avoiding arbitration.
Gomez hit .260 and slugged a career-best 19 home runs, 19 doubles and 51 RBI along with 37 stolen bases in 137 games for Milwaukee last season.
In a six-year MLB career, the native of the Dominican Republic is a .247 hitter with 44 homers and 198 RBI in 676 games for the Mets, Twins and Brewers.
