Denali State Park opens to snowmobiles

(Palmer, AK) - Recent snowfalls have allowed the opening of the entire area of Denali State Park to the use of snowmobiles, effective Friday, Jan. 18.  Park staff has determined that sufficient snow cover exists to protect underlying vegetation in the park.  This opening includes the Curry and Kesugi Ridges and the road corridor south of Byers Lake. 

Please remember, all snowmobiles must be registered with the Division of Motor Vehicles to legally operate on public land.
