Aces add another forward to make 3 new additions

Published: January 18, 2013

Looks like Alaska Aces coach Rob Murray has assembled the three additions to his lineup to open a three-game road trip tonight in Boise.

We've already reported the addition of defenseman Mike Baran from the Mississippi RiverKings of the Southern Professional Hockey League and forward Shawn Skelly from the SPHL's Augusta RiverHawks, and this morning the ECHL transactions page lists the Aces adding forward Samson Mahbod, who doesn't appear to have been playing anywhere this season.

Mahbod, 23, owns 47 games of ECHL experience (10-16--26 totals) and last season in 47 games for the CHL's Arizona Sundogs earned 7-15--22 and -9 totals. He's a former 30-goal and 79-point scorer in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The additions should give the Aces a full lineup tonight, or something very close to it, for their game against the Idaho Steelheads.
