A man was found dead in his Midtown home under suspicious circumstances Friday afternoon, according to a release from the Anchorage Police Department.

The man's roommates in a home on Crescent Drive, a street that runs through the Geneva Woods subdivision in Midtown just east of the Seward Highway, called police to report the body at 1:30 Friday afternoon, the release said.

The major crime scene team was investigating Friday afternoon. APD spokeswoman Dani Myren said she could not say why the death was suspicious or release any details about the victim.

"We're not releasing any more information at this time," she said.
