Letter: Revised plan needs more time for review

Published: January 26, 2013

I am concerned with the speed with which the Assembly is holding hearings covering both the provisionally adopted Title 21 and the PZ Commission’s newer version. The provisionally adopted Title 21 took 10 years of clean and open public process that involved everyone. The PZ Commission version, which seems to be favored by the Assembly, has had much less public scrutiny.

If it took 10 years to put together the first version, the second version needs more time — not only to be reviewed and commented on for its own merit but also to be compared to the provisionally adopted Title 21 to get the best possible planning document for our city. Citizens should contact Assembly members and voice concerns.
