UAF: Team Streak

Posted on January 26, 2013

Saturday night's 4-2 UAF victory over visiting Northern Michigan extended the Nanooks' unbeaten streak to seven games (6-0-1), the third-longest current unbeaten stretch in Division I hockey.

The Nanooks have won six straight CCHA games.

Saturday, Colton Beck racked two goals and defensemand Colton Parayko furnished one goal and two helpers -- so, good night for Coltons -- to support John Keeney's 24 saves. Andy Taranto generated two assists.

UAF (12-8-4, 10-7-3 CCHA) moved into a tie for fourth place in the 11-team league.

Next up for the Nanooks is a CCHA series at second-place Miami (Ohio), which entered the weekend ranked No. 6 in the nation.
