Gov. Sean Parnell is probably right when he states that he can’t debate with individual legislators over every issue. However, oil taxes are not every issue. It’s the life blood of our state and the governor should make an exception and debate Sen. Wielechowski.

Most Alaskans want what’s best for all of us and oil taxes are No. 1. By not accepting this challenge, Parnell just adds skepticism to the claims that his proposal is the right thing to do.
