Streaking UAF, winner of six straight games and unbeaten in seven (6-0-1) earned a national ranking today, squeezing in at No. 20 in the USCHO.com poll.

The Nanooks (12-8-4 overall) are coming off a two-game home sweep of Northern Michigan. They also are knotted in a tie for 11th in the PairWise Rankings, which mimic the formula that helps decide the 16 teams that make the NCAA tournament.

UAF this week hits the road for a CCHA series at No. 4-ranked Miami (Ohio).

Also today, UAA junior left wing Colton Beck was named the CCHA Offensive Player of the Week. He notched the game-winning short-handed goal in Friday's 2-1 win, then scored two goals, including the game winner, in Saturday's 4-2 win. For the weekend, he racked three goals, fired eight shots on goal and was +3.

In 24 games, Beck owns 7-5--12 totals.
