Sitka Festival schedule announced

The Winter Classics programs presented by the Sitka Summer Music Festival will take place Feb. 15-17 in Alaska Pacific University's Grant Hall Auditorium. Tickets are now available at 
Performers will include violinist Philippe Quint and pianist Navah Perlman joining cellist and music director Zuill Bailey. Pianist Eduard Zilberkant will be making a repeat visit to the series. 
The announced programs are as follows:
7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15:
Schubert Fantasy for Four Hand Piano in F Minor, D. 940
Prokofiev Violin Sonata No. 2 in D Major, Op. 94
Brahms Rhapsody for Solo Piano in B Minor, Op. 79, No. 1
Shostakovich Piano Trio in E Minor, Op. 67

7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16:
Bach Chaconne from Violin Partita No. 2 in D Minor, B.W.V. 1004
Brahms Violin Sonata No. 2 in A Major, Op. 100 "Thun"
Franck Cello Sonata in A Major

4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17:
Mozart Violin Sonata in G Major, K. 301
Schumann Fantasy Pieces for Cello and Piano, Op. 73
Schumann Adagio and Allegro for Cello and Piano, Op. 70
Brahms Piano Trio in C. Major, Op. 87
