Letter: Legislators should be tested too

Published: January 30, 2013

I see that some of our legislators are proposing to have welfare recipients submit to drug tests to maintain their eligibility.

I would suggest that, given that our legislators and governor make such important decisions we all have to abide by, that they should be tested for signs of alcohol or drug abuse to maintain their eligibility for their jobs. If they are impaired while trying to do their work the results could be disastrous.
