Wine of the week: 2010 Calling Chardonnay

Published: January 31, 2013

The Calling Chardonnay 2010 is what happens when the rich and famous get together, a spare-no-expense project from Peter Deutsch and Jim Nantz. Truly, this is chardonnay at its best. Fruit from the Dutton Ranch is barrel-fermented and aged sur lie with batonnage. The result is a toasty, creamy tropical citrus that is undeniably satisfying. It's rich and long on the palate, so I would pull out the stops and get some lobster! Costs about $30.
