Former Aces winger Howes gets AHL deal (notes)

Published: February 1, 2013

Former Alaska Aces winger Scott Howes, with three goals in the last three games for AHL Springfield, is off his tryout contract and has been signed to a standard AHL contract by the Falcons.

Howes was tearing up the CHL for Allen (21-14--35 in just 22 games) before he was summoned by the Falcons.

In other news, former Aces winger Matt Robinson is the CHL's Player of the Week after racking 4-2--6 and +5 totals in two games for Wichita.

And forward Samson Mahbod, released the Alaska Aces this week after helping them out for four games, has landed a deal with GKS Katowice in Poland.
